1. Vapor Pressure is a widely used property / quality parameter of liquid hydrocarbon mixtures. It basically describes a liquid's evaporation rate at pre-defined conditions (i. e. temperature, expansion rate) and relates to the tendency of volatile components to escape from the liquid. 2. In the petroleum industry it is widely used to meet the technical, economical and environmental regulations for following applications: a. Gasoline production and blending (final product) b. Crude oil and crude oil blending (storage, transportation and profit optimization) c. Natural Gas Liquids (condensates from the natural gas exploration) d. LPG and LPG blending (optimization for vapor pressure) e. Transmix/ trans-blend detection in pipelines with high volatile batches.
