Abstract: An overview of recent advancements in direct digital holographic imaging (DDHI) is presented in this paper. Our patented DDHI printer is used as an example in discussing DDHI processes starting from artwork to the photo-resist hologram origination. All of the control parameters are digital in origin, thus such a system is naturally conducive to precise image and color manipulations. !0
