Discussion on the Typical Rehabilitation Programs of Asphalt Pavement of Highway

The heave maintenance for highway has become the main problem of the road management departments. We cannot take the measures and the concrete organizations during constructions the same as the new built roads. Several programs could be chosen when the highway needs to be rehabilitated. Firstly, this paper put some factors as bearing capacity of highway, the condition of the pavement and the riding quality and so on into consideration. Then, base on the guiding principle ,the result of road investigation , designing steps of heave maintenance, and also combine some maintenance projects, this paper sums up some typical programs for the heave maintenance of highway , such as: thin overlay;replacement of the surface layer;treatment of the subgrade and the recycling of old roads. We select the regeneration technologies primarily take the engineering, economics and energy into consideration in practical engineering programs.
