The Temperature Dependence of Chromatic Dispersion and Dispersion Slope in Dispersion Compensating Fibers

We have investigated the temperature dependence of the chromatic dispersion of two dispersion compensating fibers with significantly different dispersions and dispersion slopes. Results show that the waveguide dispersion has a significant contribution to this property and the nonlinear temperature dependence affects their capability for dispersion compensating.
