A Solution for FTTH Network with Slotted Core Fiber Ribbon Cable

摘要

In this paper, a new solution for FTTH network construction with slotted core fiber ribbon cable is proposed. This creative solution can simplify and facilitate FTTH network construction with the employment of a series of newly developed cables since these cables have a lot of advantages such as small size and good flexibility besides those already possessed by ordinary fiber ribbon cables. The cable structure as well as the temperature performance and mechanical performance of the cable is introduced in the paper. In addition, the implementation of the solution and the cable closure used in the solution are also described.
