The Low-NO_x burner technology is a favorable method for deducing NO_x emission during fuel combustion. In this paper, a new type four-channel-Low-NO_x burner used in the head of rotary kiln of cement production is introduced. In order to analyze the effects on the NO_x emission at different mass flow rate of the four channels, a cold test bench was put into effect and the outlet flow fields of the four-channel-Low-NO_x burner were measured with the PIV (Particle Image Veiocimetry) technology. In the experiments, the experimental schemes were adjusted by changing the mass flow rate of swirl wind and axial wind. Through measuring the outlet flow fields with PIV, the effects of interrelationship between the primary air and the second air on NO_x emission were analyzed and the appropriate air distribution schemes were presented for practice utilization of the new type four-channel-Low-NO_x burner.
