Study on the Manufacture of Veneer with Wooden Strip

To make full use of wood manufacturing residue, veneer was manufactured with wood residues instead of large scale logs. The related technology including preparation of wood strips, gluing into cylinder, peeling into veneer were studied in this paper. Material and Method Material: Wooden strips, machined by longitudinal strip -cutting machine manufactured by ourselves, were 50 to 500ram long, 0.5 to I.Smm thick, 3 to 25mm wide. Modified urea-formaldehyde resin, without impurity, was a light brown solution, with solid content 27 percent, primary viscosity 49 mPa.s, pH value 8.1, and free formaldehyde 1.6 percent. Die applied to fix cylinder shape was self designed. Pressing machine, QD100, wasmade in Shanghai, and adapted for the researches. Peeling machine without clipping, XCZ-1300W. Conditioning machine was made in Guangzhou, EL -10KA.
