From SRXRF data, it is established that geochemical characteristics of the majority of rare elements and noble metals in basalts of the Sierra-Leone Fracture Zone correspond to normal rocks of mid-ocean ridge basalts (MORB). In sites where hydrothermal ore-forming processes are active, enrichment in Cu, Sr, Ti and V were observed, as well as a sharp depletion in Cr and Ni. The geochemical features of basalts are appreciably influenced by the geodynamic processes of fracture zone development.
