Soil liquefaction is one of the most general geology calamities and it is extremely significant to the building base steadies. In this paper, we take the ZhangFuYuan underground depot in the first phase of Nanjing subway project as an example, aiming at the characteristic that the main field distributes large area of Qinhuai-river ancient watercourse soil layers of sediment and it will easily be liquefied when affected by the stress of earthquake. By means of introducing the powerful image processing function of GIS base terrace, which consists of the inquiring about layers, special topic map, spatial analysis and so on, the data bank of soil liquefaction set up on the base of various kinds of source material, such as the relief maps of the depot area, the cutaway views of the stratum, the blueprints of the bore and project location, the indexes of the earth's rule physics and mechanics nature, the results of the standard pierce experimentation and so on. At the same time, according to the representative examples and the literatures about soil liquefaction written by specialists, the knowledge bank of judging the soil liquefaction of the depot area is stroked up. Using the data bank to the knowledge one, we analyze and administrate the liquefaction spatially. The analysis process and the establishment thinking of the judgment system are introduced in detail, and the judgment system of soil liquefaction is established, which is on the base of Mapinfo groupware and can make graph and letter shine upon each other. This method supplies the defect of traditional analysis means, such as abstraction, inefficiency, and inconvenience for administration and so on, and it also supplies the foundation to project demonstrability without delay.
