摘要

Roughness effect on the heat transfer and pressure loss of micro or small channels are investigated by use of finite volume method. This paper improved the Boussinesq approximation and the physical properties of the coolant are temperature dependent. The small channels' geometrical parameters are representative of small channels in the hydraulic diameters range from 0.2 to 1.4 mm. This paper gained Nusselt numbers and friction coefficient in different channels' surface roughness. As a result, the heat transfer and pressure loss are strongly influenced by the roughness, and one should not neglect the effect of roughness on micro or small channels' heat transfer.
