IN-STREAM CONSTRUCTED WETLANDS TREATMENT FOR THE HINULUGANG TAKTAK NATIONAL PARK, RIZAL PROVINCE, THE PHILIPPINES (PROJECT UPDATE)

摘要

Constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment have been long recognized as a relatively low cost alternative to concrete and steal wastewater treatment and disposal infrastructure for many applications. This paper outlines a project by ECI Environmental Compliance International, Ltd. (ECI) to determine the feasibility of modifying the technology for in-stream applications. The Philippines is a principle area of interest for ECI and appears to be an ideal location with abundant natural and human resources required to implement this demonstration project with the ultimate goal of replicating the technology in other affected areas throughout the country.
