Several different seismic damage prediction methods are reviewed in this paper. The difference of typical five methods on seismic parameters, resistance parameters, modifying parameters, deciding parameters, and complexity and reliability are discussed in detail. The analytical hierarchy process is applied to determine the reliability of these methods. Although the reliability of the discussed methods is similar, the method presented by Gao (1991) has rather higher reliability and complexity. The sequence index of these methods can be used as weight coefficient when the multiple seismic damage prediction methods are employed.
