In the light of the coal sample coming from different site, coal spontaneous combustion features was studied through experiments; CO concentration of coal sample with specifically granularity under different pyrogenation temperature was measured; How to select the indication gas was discussed; the change rule of CO concentration along with temperature was analyzed. In accordance with CO concentration of different coal sample at different site, the classified work was done by the method of clustering analysis. The results of clustering analysis show that the seven coal samples used for experiment can be obviously divided into five categories. The analysis results have significant guidance for prediction, control and classified management of coal spontaneous combustion and prevention and cure of coal fire.
