This paper firstly analyzes the current situation and management problems of China's reservoir dams elementarily, and then expatiates on the reinforcement measures for those dams working with faults or in dangers, finally emphasizes on the warping clay reinforcement of small-scaled reservoir. In order to discover the reinforcement mechanism of warping clay, a model test was designed, whose result was put into practice in the reinforcement construction of the reservoir on-spot as a guide. It demonstrates that warping clay is an eco-friendly method for seepage prevention and reinforcement of dam and after the reinforcement, the dam still can seep slightly at a low speed which will act as a source of the underground water for the lower-reaches of the reservoir.
