Application of Gray Correlation Analysis to Safety Investment in Coal Enterprises

Coal mining is a dangerous process industry in China. On the basis of factor analysis in coal mining safety and the theory of gray, the gray coefficients of correlation degree between affecting factors and results in safety accidents in Shannxi province are calculated. The results indicate that the sum of the investment in publicity and education has the maximum correlation degree with accidental economic loss, next is investment in security technique, the third is investment in labor insurance supplies and auxiliary equipment investment, the investment in industry hygiene is the least. Coalmines in China must strengthen safety technical training, and combine them with technological innovation and new equipment in safety to eliminate the hidden troubles.
