摘要

Flame spread beneath a ceiling decorated with combustible materials may occur if an intense buoyant diffusion flame impinges on the ceiling. In this paper, a cellular automaton model is developed for that. This presented model, coupled with a one-dimensional pyrolysis model in the thickness direction of the ceiling, is combined with piloted ignition temperature, spontaneous ignition temperature and pyrolysis temperature of combustible ceiling. In addition, two cases are presented to show the flame spread beneath an unconfined combustible ceiling by the evolvement of cells. Simulation results accord well with the observation of physical phenomena.
