In this paper, the explosive shock waves characters of the fuel-air mixture explosion in a simulative oilcan were experimentally studied, and the numerical simulation study has been carried out for the fuel-air mixture explosion in the simulative metal oilcan. The numerical simulation results are in good accord with the experimental results. These results indicated that the deflagration is the main form of the explosion in the simulative oilcan in initial stage. The vibration characteristic of the explosive shock waves has been found out and been analyzed and discussed. The damage effect caused by the vibration characteristic to the oilcan structure has been discussed too. By the way, the methods how to suppress the explosive shock waves has been discussed.
