ENERGY AVAILABILITY AND RISK

摘要

Historical data and projections of energy consumption are presented as well as data on greenhouse gases emission and generation of waste for different energy sources. It is concluded that major changes in the energy source mix presently used should take place if major effects on the environment are to be avoided. An analysis of different alternatives to fossil fuels is presented as well as a discussion of their possible contribution to the energy mix.
