By applying systems dynamics methodology, this paper primarily models two key aspects of cleaner production (CP): adoption and diffusion. In the modelling of the adoption of CP, focuses are stressed onto the differences between CP and end-of-pipes (EOP). In the modelling of the diffusion of CP methodology, Bass model is adopted to be the basic model. Based on this model, policy analysis can be carried out by adding peripheral loops to the basic loops. Though this work is just at the beginning, promising roles can be observed to find out what are main factors influencing CP promotion and in what way they influence.
