摘要

Design of Agilent HCPL-800J, opto-coupler with integrated RX preamplifier and TX power amplifier for narrow band PLC, and its performance will be presented. Also an experiment for developing a opto-coupler integrated with some other functions for broad band PLC will be described. It is performed with existing optical devices and they are able to conduct broadband PLC signal providing well-isolated galvanic potential barrier. We have confirmed that the optical barrier reduces the common mode current by about ten times. It shall contribute in reducing the leakage field, which could be emitted by a power line modem.
