ANALYSIS OF TWO PHYSICAL MECHANISMS CAUSING SOUND ATTENUATION INMARINE SEDIMENT

摘要

This paper carries out theoretical analysis for the two mechanisms causing sound attenuation in marine sediment,i.e., viscous friction and internal dispersion. The result it gives can be used to explain all measured data of the sound attenuation coefficient in sarine sediment.
