High-Temperature shift Catalyst of Fe -Cr system is necessary for in Ammonia Synthesis Industry and Hydrogen Produce Industry. Its main constituent is Fe_2O_3(oxid state of catalyst). It is used after reductio nand the active content is Fe_3O_4 (reduced state of catalyst). The differnet crystal forms of iron(III) oxide consume differnet energy when they are reduced. So it influences the catlytic activity at low temperature. The #gamma#-Fe_2O_3 and Fe_3O_4 belong to cubical crystal system and their lattice constants are very approximate. The former when it is reduced to Fe_3O_4 consumes less energy and gets mroe catalytic activities at low temperature. The open-heart dust of Baotou of China mainly exists in the form of gamma-iron(III)oxide. It can be precipitated with Iron(II)salt and Cr(III)salt and a little rare-earth salt as assistants by NH_3 water and prepared to high-temperature shift catalyst. There's no need to calcine at high temperature. The catalyst is called as GB catalyst in this paper. The BG catalyst keeps #gamma#-form of iron(III) oxide and its catalytic activity gets to the State Standard of China.
