摘要

With the popularization,multimedia technology has been applied to the embedded digital instrumentations domain such as the digital video recorder (DVR).The great demand of a diversity of embedded digital multimedia applications software design comes from the market,which makes a pressure with the traditional software development method.A framework is presented to model multimedia applications in this paper.By analyzing typical devices' features,a series of components are designed and they can be reused by the framework.The framework and components are integrated in a platform to model a large number of embedded digital multimedia applications,and it is demonstrated how to develop the application by using the framework.The developed system is characterized by better modularity and extensibility.
