摘要

A current model of the devolatilization and combustion of coal particle in an oxidizing environment has been developed. The model combines the kinetics of devolatilization and combustion with the mass and heat transfer processes occurring around the particle. The volatile combustion in gas phase, the heterogeneous reaction on particle surface before the appearance of volatile flame and the different control mechanisms of char combustion are taken account of in the model. Using the model,the devolatilization and combustion processes of pulverized coal particles have been simulated numerically. The effects of temperature, oxygen concentration and particle size on the devolatilization and combustion of particle have been systematically investigated. The comparision between the prediction and experiment shows a fair agreement.
