摘要

In the present work the theory and thermodynamic criteria for 3D-island and 2D-layer-like growth of single crystals and thin epitaxial films are applied in the case of nucleation and growth of nanoscale particles. The modes of nucleation and growth affecting the structure of nanoparticles are discussed.
