A lead-dioxide electrode was prepared by plating lead-dioxide on the surface of kryptol. Wastewater from chlorine bleaching was disposed by electrochemical oxidation using PbO_2 anode, stainless steel web cathode. The results showed that the concentration of chlorinated lignin increased firstly and then decreased during electric-oxidation. So did the conductance. COD and chroma decreased in the whole course. The pH kept unchanged in the initial stage and then decreased. Aromatic rings of chlorinated lignin could be opened during the procedure of electrochemical oxidation. The voltage of 4.1v was optimum for electrochemical oxidation.
