EFFECTS OF ENZYMATIC DEINKING TREATMENT ON THE PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF COLORED OFFSET NEWSPRINT(ONP) AND OLD MAGAZINE PAPER(OMG)

摘要

Changes of physical characteristics such as fiber length, coarseness, crystallinity index and morphology after enzymatic deinking treatment of ONP and OMG were revealed. The effect of enzymatic treatment on strength properties of deinked pulp were studied It was found that both ONP and OMG could be deinking effectively by enzyme treatment. The fiber length and coarseness were found to be reduced to some extent. The enzymatic deinking treatment had little effect on crystallinity index of deinked fibers. The strength properties of deinked pulps from OMG and OMG were found to be increased after enzymatic deinking treatment.
