摘要

In this article we proposed a scheme of IPTV application. We use motion re-estimation to transcode video in real time. This paper proposed a new motion re-estimation algorithm, by building inverse MV look-up table, using overlap area information to speed up MV search, estimating MV according to neighbor MB's MV. The proposed algorithm can improve the efficiency of transcoding and maintain video quality. Simulation showed that, during the process of video transcoding, compared with pmvfast algorithm, the new algorithm can save about 40% of encoding time while the PSNR drops less than 0.3db. This is an apparent improvement of transcoding efficiency.
