Solvent impregnated resins (SIR) containing di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA), were prepared by direct adsorption of the extractant onto Amberlite XAD-2. Extractant adsorption was studied as a function of both the nature of the organic solution and the extractant concentration used. The best conditions for a successful separation of Y(Ⅲ) and Nd(Ⅲ) have been evaluated. Previously the distribution equilibrium of yttrium were determined graphically and numerically as a function of both the metal concentration in the aqueous phase and the extractant concentration on the resin phase
