Laminated Bus Bars as a Platform Utilizing Circuit Breakers and/or Fuses for Protecting Power Electronics

The conclusion that will be drawn from this paper is that the value added, systems approach to power distribution provides simplicity of use from the customer point of view. Installed directly into the cabinet, the manufacturer or assembly house merely plugs the appropriate components into the bus bar assembly, thus eliminating wiring errors and improving the overall system performance. This paper proved the premise that Laminated Bus Bars are the ideal mounting platform for efficient and economical protection solutions to carry or distribute or switch high currents in a Power Electronics environment.
