摘要

Glass is a popular building material. As structural material, glass has one bad property, namely brittleness. Nevertheless, in some cases glass is used as structural material such as beams. The polymeric interlayer between glass sheets makes structural use possible. Uniformly distributed load or quasi-concentrated load has to be considered for dimensioning the thickness of glass. No lateral forces act in the plane of the glass sheets. However, in this direction the glass pane is very stiff and can resist load with small deformation. To get insight in the behaviour of structurally bonded glass panes to the substructure is the objective of this research.
