摘要

Tree species affected soil microbial community on cut-away peatland. Net N mineralisation and microbial biomass were higher under birch than pine, but fungal biomass was higher under Scots pine. Gross N mineralisation was higher under Scots pine than birch in soil samples measured three months after cutting the tree root connections. Community level physiological profile of microbial community was different under birch than under Scots pine. No systematic model was found between soil chemical properties and N and C transformations. According to our results the role of fungi in C and N cycle in the soil was more pronounced under Scots pine than birch. Our preliminary results suggest that cutting of the root connections may have at least a transient increasing influence on the microbial activity in soil samples where mycorrhizal mycelium is abundant, and hence should be taken into account when interpreting the results of C and N transformations and gas emissions.
