Development and Evaluation of Domestic Ozonatorsfor Water Treatment

The domestic ozonators are equipments of reduced size that can bernused to obtain small volumes of drinking water of high quality. Withrnthe use of this ozonators is not necessary to boil water or to consumernbottled water.rnIn the Ozone Research Center of Cuba, it was designed, built andrnevaluated a line of domestic ozonators that allow to give a localrnsolution to the drinking water treatment. The present work deals withrnthe evaluation of the main parameters that characterize the functioningrnof these equipments. These equipments were evaluated during a periodrnof time that included the control of their operation conditions. For thatrnreason it was selected the following parameters: water pressure, waterrnand gas flows, continuous operation time and gas and liquid ozonernconcentration as means parameters. Finally microbiological test forrnwater quality demonstration were made.
