摘要

Empirical models were developed to quantify the effects of seven refiner plate design variables and three process variables on the pulp quality variables. These experiments were carried out in a full scale TMP plant. A combination of the Design of Experiment (DoE) and the Multiple Variable Optimization (MVO) techniques provided a numerical method to reduce energy consumption by 8-15% while maintaining the quality of pulp. This paper describes the methodology used to develop these models and then presents the mill results from application of these models.
