On Special Characteristics of the Chongqing Garden

摘要

With natural and cultural traits the Chongqing Garden has own special characteristics historically. The paper introduced the research on the special characteristics included typology, site-selection, architecture- decoration, water, plant, stone and bonsai based on investigating widely in the grand Chongqing, and proposed the preliminary conclusions: in terms of the special characteristics, the natural setting and natural garden are of fundamental importance to the Chongqing Garden. It is with natural mountains and water bodies that the approach of the Chongqing Garden will continue to develop.
