Sandwiched nonwoven composites were fabricated using the annual plant fibers, bagasse, kenaf, ramie, and bonding fiber polypropylene. Thermal stability and degradation of nonwovens was determined in both the air and nitrogen atmosphere (20℃ -600℃). Thermal transitions were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and dynamo-mechanical analysis (DMA). All materials were characterized mechanically by static methods for tensile strength and flexural rigidity and dynamic methods for bending and stretching. Bending data were collected in a temperature range from 25℃ to 200℃, which included also the softening and melting domain of the polymer.
