Fuzzy Methodology in the Social Sciences

The paper presents the fuzzy methodology used in connection with URBS (Unbiased Research on Being in Society), an interdisciplinary research effort at Florida State University, directed by the late Wyllis Bandler and the present author, in the Department of Computer Science and Cognitive Sciences. The application domain is Urbanistics. The aim is to model and capture the complex interrelationships among individuals, society and the environment, as they develop through the direct, individual urban experience, by making explicit the inner, psychological construction system, over time, of the 'reality' of the city.
