On Some Order Structures in Fuzzy Modelling

When working out a fuzzy model (FM) suitable to the user needs the issue of identifying the appropriate partial order structure or poset is essential. Fuzzy subsets inclusion/containment, implication or the incremental step-wise refinment of knowledge illustrate the variety of posets we need to consider. In the context, the contribution of this Note consists in making explicit alternative partial order structures on the set of memberships/truth values fuctions. The technical as-pects remain for a further Appendix. Reference is made to a compagnon paper by M. Fedrizzi and D. Vaida on valued fuzzy preference relations (Proceedings CIFT/MEPP'96) [1].
