The effects of partial substitution of La by Nd in La_(1-a)Nd_aFe_(13-x-y)Co_ySi_x alloys (0 ≤ a ≤ 0.12) are investigated.rnOur results suggest that the impact of Nd on the magnetocaloric properties correlates to the Co concentration. In Co-poor samplesrn(y = 0.68), a reduction of the Curie temperature by –27.17℃/f.u._(Nd), is observed. The addition of Nd, however, has nornconsiderable improvement on the adiabatic temperature change. In contrast, the significance of Nd incorporation in Co-rich alloysrn(y = 1.03) is more evident. A stronger decrease in T_C (–38.19℃/f.u._(Nd)) and a monotonic improvement up to 6% in the adiabaticrntemperature change are observed.
