RECORDS OF THE IMPACT EVENT AROUND THE NEOGENE-QUATERNARY BOUNDARY IN NORTHERN CHINA

摘要

An interval of 0.1 Ma exists between two horizons of the impact records, studied in this paper and only the event happened from 2.53 to 2.48 Ma B.P. belongs to the N / Q boundary impact event. We believe that an intensive study of the major geological events and their tectonic, climatic and environmental effects which were induced by the impacts will open a window to renew the understanding and knowledge for the Quaternary global changes.
