Design and Fabrication of High Brightness Multi-lamp Backlighting

摘要

High brightness backlight with multiple lamps was designed by optical simulation and fabricated. The 12 CCFLs were used to fabricate 18" backlight. ERG's MD Platform was used to drive 12 lamps by one inverter. More than 90% of uniformity and 8,000 cd/m~2 of brightness were achieved by the fabricated backlight. High efficiency, high brightness and low cost backlight backlight can be manufactured for LCD TV application.
