The Model Driven Architecture (MDA) brings about a renewed solution to the problems of flexibility faced by modern software engineering when it adapts to requirements' changes, and also brings out a fresh interpretation in the relationships among software documentation, model and code. This paper presents the essential concepts of MDA and an in-depth analysis of both the core models of MDA and the transformations among these models. In terms of development life circle, MDA has its great advantage over traditional software development. Finally, a case study of Engineer Service Log System is used to illustrate the entire implementation process of MDA solution.
