A Hybrid Method of Mobile Nodes Traversing the Firewall

When a mobile node roams foreign network, commonly it needs to traverse its home firewall in order to communicate with home agent or home network. Today, there are two schemes that can traverse firewall, one is SKIP, the other is ISAKMP/Oakley. But the two suppose that the mobile node is at the "public" part, that is to say the mobile node is outside the foreign firewall. Moreover, most of the things are difference. This paper will discuss how a mobile node has a security communication with its home network when it is at the "private" part of a foreign network, and puts forward a hybrid method of mobile node traversing the firewall which can improve the security of mobile IP communication.
