Architecture-Centric Software Process for Software Reuse

摘要

The goal of software product-line approach is to achieve planned domain-specific software reuse by constructing reusable common core assets. Traceability and understandability are two key requirements for common core assets. Traditional software process is not suitable to development of the common core assets. In this paper, we propose the architecture-centric software process that results in understandable trace model of software components. Architectures are the key elements of software development. Patterns are used as the means to express the results of the different development phases, and are used to describe the development expertise and experience. The traceability between different models at different abstract levels is created as the side effect of development process of the common core assets.
