WSN-Wireless sensor networks are greatly in focus for the researchers. The use of WSN is foreseen for bringing massive changes in data gathering, processing and broadcasting. One of the most central design concerns in WSN is energy consumption. Hierarchical routing protocols are best acknowledged in respect to energy efficiency. Mobility based clustering (MBC) provides fruitful packet delivery rate, reduced energy consumption and average control overhead and it can adapt easily to a highly mobile surroundings. This paper presents the hierarchical routing protocol MBC algorithm. The mobility of a sensor node is considered as main aspect in the network as it will consume more energy so the proposed energy efficient routing algorithm handles the mobility of the sensor nodes. The objective of these routing protocols is not only to improve the network life time but also to reduce end to end delay, reduce packet loss and link management etc.
