摘要

Nowadays, mobile nodes have various ways of Internet connectivity which are provided by the devices such as IEEE 802.11-b, bluetooth, IEEE 802.3 and Dial-up connection. Therefore, utilizing diversity of network interfaces becomes an important issue in the mobile networking. The purpose of this research is to efficiently make use of multiple network interfaces for mobile nodes. Policy-based routing enables mobile computers to utilize all the active network interfaces simultaneously and provides a framework for optimum interface selection with respect to each network connections. Policy-based routing achieves to supply the strong Internet connectivity, better throughput and efficient utilization of multiple network interfaces. From the experimental results, the Implementation is proven to Incur minimal overhead and thus does not negatively affect IPv6 protocol performance.
