A proposed scheme for combining ARQ with STBC to improve error performance

The objective of this paper is to improve system performance of space time block codes (STBC) utilizing automatic repeat request (ARQ). STBC codes have distinct signal combinations and hence their performance can be improved by employing error detection based on table lookup. We propose a scheme that can identify errors in the detector output which are otherwise accepted by the normal STBC decoding technique.
