It is difficult to optimize the fracturing, injection and lift system (FILS) by conventional optimal methods, because it is a nonlinear and complicated system including three key sectors, hydraulic fracturing, water injection and lift in the development of low permeability reservoirs. Methods for optimizing the FILS using the simulated annealing algorithm (SA) are presented. SA is a global optimal method and independent on the selection of the initial points. Especially for the FILS itself involving large numerical calculations, SA demonstrates the priority of direct search. The results show that SA can solve the global optimization of nonlinear problems for the FILS effectively. The optimum matching relationship among fracturing, injection and lift is obtained. The technical and economical integration for hydraulic fracturing, water injection and lift is achieved. A reliable theory is provided for improving the integral profits for the development of low permeability reservoirs.
