Anion - surfactant SDS was used as an aid - chemicals to study the flooding recovery behaviors under DC electric field. It was found that the oil recovery was increased by adding SDS in brine under electric field, and it was 4% higher than that by means of DC electric field individually. Also in the residual oil period the final recovery was increased 6% . The sequence of increasing recovery magnitude is: general flooding, surfactant flooding, DC electric field flooding and DC electric field flooding with aid - surfactant. When the concentration of SDS increased 10 times, the enhancement of oil recovery is only about 1.1%. It is concluded that the concentration of aid - surfactant is less important to EOR by means of electro - chemical flooding technique.
