On Rotated Terms Index

The Application of rotated terms index is determined mainly by two elements. One is their structure of word formations in a specific language; another is the specialty of the terms of a specific discipline. The former determines if the terms are arranged for a rotated index based on their morphemes or on their words as basic components. The latter requires that the most terms of the discipline hold at least two or more components for indexing. Because of the economical principle influenced the development of terms, an old discipline usually holds a set of terms most with a single word in each term, while the terms in a modern discipline usually hold two or more words ( or morphemes) in a term. Therefore, a rotated terms index is more applicable for accessing the terms of a modern discipline.
